The crows and blackbirds have been merciless in their hounding on the baby barreds who could care less. They know they are bad and stand their ground. We hear mom and dad nearby but they do not interfere. The photo below was taken in a back yard. Usually, it is the crows that harass the owls, but this time it was a cacophony of song birds-cardinals, thrashers, mockingbirds, even chickadees all tweeting at this owl to vamoose.
